travel south america argentina ushuaia the beagle channel wildlife: arctic tern

Wikipedia says "The Arctic tern (Sterna paradisaea) is a tern in the family Laridae" having "a circumpolar breeding distribution covering the Arctic and sub-Artic regions of Europe..."
"The species is strongly migratory, seeing two summers each year as it migrates along a convoluted route from its northern breeding grounds to the Antarctic coast for the southern summer..."
"Recent studies have shown average annual round-trip lengths of" from 30 to 44,000 miles... "by far the longest migrations known in the animal kingdom."
We were able to see these world travelers in the Beagle Channel at the tip of South America in March as the southern summer turned into fall.
